Hospice Cup XXIII ~ September 11, 2004

As America’s largest charity regatta, last year over $500,000 was raised by Hospice Cup sponsors to benefit hospices in Maryland, Virginia and the Washington DC areas.  Become a proud sponsor of Hospice Cup XXIII and have a great day on the Chesapeake Bay.  From the comfort of one of the fabulous spectator boats, you will be wined and dined as you watch over 100 of the best sailboat racers compete for prestigious trophies.  After the races, you will attend a waterfront Shore Party.  Trophy presentations and silent auction full of unique items will end a festive day promoting hospice care.

One hundred percent of the funds raised by the participating hospices go directly to that hospice.  Supporting Hospice Cup means that there will continue to be no out-of-pocket expenses for any patient or family seeking the services of a participating hospice.  Hospice Cup funds help pay the 25 to 30 percent of the expenses not covered by Medicare or private insurances.  These dollars enable the hospices to provide skilled compassionate care, comfort and dignity to all patients, families, and friends, regardless of their ability to pay.

Individual sponsorships starting at $250 per person entitle you to all the race day activities.  Of course, donations at any level are always appreciated and are tax deductible.

Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available from $500 to $50,000.  For more information please call the Development office at (202) 895-0160, or go to www.hospicecup.org.
